Setting a clear and shared line of sight for your employees helps them understand the mission of the company and how they factor in to that vision. It also encourages the strong employee engagement that is critical to the success of an organization. To this end, PerformancePAM Talent Management supports cascading goals, allowing you to create a team based environment focused on achieving corporate success.
PerformancePAM allows you to set goals at the organizational level and cascade them down to departments as well as individuals for companywide accountability. In addition, departmental and individual goals can be “pushed up” to connect with organizational level goals if those goals contribute to the mission of that organizational level goal.
Upper management can get a clear picture of the activities going on in the organization to accomplish an organizational goal by viewing the goal in question and seeing all of the goals that cascade down to other areas of the organization. For example, let’s say a company sets an organizational level goal of increasing revenue by 10 percent in the next year. The CEO can view that organizational level goal in PerformancePAM and can see all departmental and individual level goals that are related to that organizational goal. Perhaps there is a customer service goal of selling two additional units into the client base each month. Perhaps there is a sales goal of including an additional product offering on each quote that goes out to new potential clients. Perhaps Donald Adams in Operations has a goal of reducing production costs for his area by 5%. In one concise and quick view, company management can see the activities happening across the company to achieve a common goal. When employees are contributing to an organizational goal and they understand the impact of their work, that goal is much more likely to be accomplished.
